Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh, on behalf of Monks, Nuns and Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda supports “Fund for the Poor” and people affected by natural disasters

In accordance with the compassionate spirit of Buddhism, in the morning of 16 October, 2020 (the 30th day of the lunar eighth month, Year of the Rat), Monks and Nuns of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) attended the gift-giving ceremony to support “Fund for the Poor” and people suffering from natural disasters, launched by the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF). Attending the ceremony, leaders of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha included Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Vice President of the VBSs Executive Council, Head of the VBSs Central Committee of Dharma Propagation; Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nha - Standing Member of the VBSs Executive Council, Chief of the Supreme Patriarch Council, Deputy Head of the VBSs Central Standing Ceremonies Committee; Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet - Vice President of the VBSs Executive Council, Head of the VBSs Central Buddhist Education Committee, Senior Principle of Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Hanoi; Venerable Thich Duc Thien - Vice President - General Secretary of the VBSs Executive Council.

Representatives of the VFF Central Committee were Mr. Tran Thanh Man - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the VFF Central Committee; Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc - Vice President of the VFF Central Committee. Besides, there were participants of representatives of other religions such as Catholicism, Protestantism, CaoDaism, etc.
 
Practical gifts were granted to “Fund for the Poor” by the Buddhist dignitaries. On behalf of Monks, Nuns and Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh granted 300 million dong to the Fund.
 
Receiving the care and contributions, Mr. Tran Thanh Man joyfully sent his words of thanks to the delegations. He highly appreciated and acknowledged the positive contributions of Monks, Nuns and Buddhists towards spreading a sense of responsibility and loving-kindness throughout the community, contributing to the overall social development.
 
Continuing to join hands in sharing difficulties with people suffering from natural disasters, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh and Monks of Ba Vang Pagoda plans to make a charity trip in person to Central Vietnam on 22 October, 2020 (the 6th day of the lunar ninth month, Year of the Rat) to give gifts and necessities to people in flooded areas, helping them overcome difficulties and settle into life soon.
 
 
Hopefully, the contributions from Monks of Ba Vang Pagoda will contribute to the improvement of people's lives and the spread of loving kindness among Vietnamese people.
 
The Vietnam Fatherland Front receives contributions from Buddhist dignitaries of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Vice President of the VBSs Executive Council, Head of the VBSs Central Committee of Dharma Propagation praises activities and campaigns which are widespread and permanent, national and massive, out of which Fund for the Poor of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front is a highlight.
 
On behalf of Monks, Nuns and Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh grants 300 million dong to "Fund For the Poor".
