A warm Dharma friendship in the new year: Khmer Theravada Buddhist monks were happy to visit Ba Vang Pagoda
On the occasion of New Year, Ba Vang Pagoda was honored to welcome the delegation of Khmer Theravada Buddhist monks to visit and worship the Buddha.
There was the presence of Venerable Son Ngoc Huynh - Member of the Central Board of Affairs Committee and Standing Member of the Propagation Committee of the central Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Vinh Long Province; Venerable Pen Bun Thim - Member of Supreme Sangha Council of Mahanikaya Buddhist sect in Cambodia; Venerable Kim Tue - Abbot of Khmer Temple, Vietnam National Villages For Ethnic Culture And Tourism; Venerable Rahula Kumar from Bodhgaya, India and venerable monks from Khmer Buddhism.
Receiving the news, Thay and the monks of Ba Vang Pagoda were happy and had a warm and close welcome to the delegation.
Under the warm weather of vibrant spring days, Thay took the delegation around the Pagoda and introduced to them the mini-scenes and activities that were prepared to welcome visitors to the Pagoda to enjoy spring and worship the Buddha. After the visit, the Khmer Theravada Buddhist monks gained a better understanding of the daily routine of the fourfold assembly at Ba Vang Pagoda, how they lived and practiced Buddhism, as well as their dedication to serving people.
The visit left a good impression on the delegation. The Khmer venerable monks sent good wishes to Thay and Ba Vang Pagoda's monks and Buddhists in the year of Dragon.

The venerable monks visited the Meditation Garden and saw the statue of the serpent king Muchalinda sheltering Shakyamuni Buddha from the elements.

While taking the tour, Thay introduced the delegation to the tourist-welcoming activities at the Pagoda. Thay and the monks gave free puffed rice, which is a folk gift to all the tourists.
