During the Vesak Celebration, Ba Vang Pagoda holds the Buddha’s bathing ritual, to create opportunities for people to offer water to bathe the statue of the newborn Buddha. As taught by Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh — the abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda, Vietnam, it is also a representation of the wish to wash away the defilements and the inner newborn Buddha will appear in one’s mind. And in this event, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh - the Abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda and monks from different countries offered water to bathe the Buddha with a sincere, reverent, and trustful mind.
During the Celebration, monks and lay Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda had the chance to meet and rejoice with Dharma friends from different countries in the world. Bright smiles and hands held tight were seen throughout the event.
