Thay and honored venerables offered incense to Buddhas during the Ordination Ceremony
The male aspirants, with sincere hearts aspiring for liberation and following the Buddha's virtues, aroused their auspicious intention to become Buddhist monks under the instruction of Thay and his Sangha. On the anniversary of Prince Siddhartha's Renunciation Day, on the 8th day of the 2nd lunar month (March 17, 2024), Thay had the Ordination Ceremony organized for the good men who had undergone long training. This act stemmed from Thay's compassion and vow to establish the Sangha.
The venerable monks offered incense to the Buddhas and prayed for their witness and protection during the ceremony.
Then came the pivotal moment, a turning point that would redefine their entire lives from then on—the moment when Thay began to sever the hair of afflictions from the aspirants' heads.
Having their heads cleanly shaved, the novices officially became ordained disciples of Thay, vowing to devote their whole lives to following him to study the Dharma, diligently cultivate themselves, seek holy fruition, and aspire for ultimate enlightenment.
