New Delhi, August 3, 2023: Ba Vang Pagoda attended the “Vietnam-India Cultural and Economic Exchange Forum”

In New Delhi, the capital city of India, the “Vietnam-India Cultural and Economic Exchange Forum” was jointly organized by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations and the Global Trade and Technology Council of India.

This is an important event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations and the 51st anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic relations. Furthermore, it aims to promote bilateral relations as well as boost economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries. The event was attended by high-ranking officials of Vietnam and India.

From Vietnam, there were Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor of Vietnam in India and Mr. Tran Van Manh, Vice President of the Asia-Pacific UNESCO Clubs and Associations, vice president and General Secretary of Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations.

From India, Dr. Gaurav Gupta - President of the Global Trade and Technology Council of India and Mr. Atul Kumar Saxena, President of the Indian Importers Chambers of Commerce and Industries.

The forums organization board held in high regard how Ba Vang Pagoda combined the propagation of the Buddhas teachings and the development of spiritual Buddhism, as well as wished to honor outstanding organizations and individuals that contributed to the development of Vietnams economy and culture. Thus, Ba Vang Pagoda was invited to the forum on August 3, 2023. Accepting the invitation, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh sent a monastic delegation to New Delhi, India, to attend the forum.

In the lively atmosphere of cultural, artistic, and economic exchange, the delegates and guests of the two countries expressed their opinions in the spirit of creativity and innovation, contributing to the spread of positive cultural values and economic development.

At the forum, the monks of Ba Vang Pagoda said: “We, as the monks and Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda, want to bring the ideology of compassion and wisdom of the Buddha to mankind, so that each individual will abandon evil and do good, thereby becoming good people, building a world of humanity full of love, sharing and connection. We hope that, through the teachings of the Buddha, countries across the globe will become good friends and help each other develop without wars. Therefore, we have been making Ba Vang Pagoda a well-known domestic and international center of Buddhist tourism, thereby promoting the positive values of Buddhism all over the world.”

The forum highly praised the contributions of Ba Vang Pagoda at the forum and for the socio-economic development of Vietnam, which in turn contributed to the mutual success of the forum. At the event, Ba Vang Pagoda was awarded the title “Exemplary spiritual and cultural tourist area in Asia-Pacific.”
