Journey to the birthplace of Lord Buddha
2600 years ago, in Lumbini garden, Prince Siddhartha was born in great delight and happiness of all Devas and human beings. His birth was such a great and rare phenomenon.
Gautama Buddha was not a mythical figure but an actual, historical personality who introduced the religion known as Buddhism today. His teaching illuminates the way for mankind to cross from a world of darkness, hatred and suffering to a new world of light, love and happiness.
On the pilgrimage to India - Nepal, the homeland of Shakyamuni Buddha, the Sangha of Ba Vang Pagoda visited the birth place of Lord Buddha- Lumbini garden, to commemorate the birth of the Blessed One. The Sangha of Ba Vang Pagoda also visited Bodh Gaya - the place where Gautama Buddha attained Enlightenment; Sarnath - the place where he first taught the way to Enlightenment; and Kushinagar - the place where Gautama Buddha attained parinirvana.
During this pilgrimage, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh also gave some compelling Dharma talks about the life of the Buddha. These talks truly taught the Sangha of Ba Vang Pagoda meaningful lessons related to each historical site they visited.
