The fulfillment of merit from reverently making offerings to Buddhist monks during the grand Vesak celebration
The advent of Shakyamuni Buddha into this world was not for any other purpose than to liberate suffering and bring happiness to all beings. Therefore, after enlightenment, he spent his life expounding the Dharma that leads beings to happiness, including the practice of alms-giving, which helps the offerers “after the end of life, to be reborn in a happy destination, in the heavens. But if instead, he comes back to the human state, then wherever he is reborn he is wealthy.” (The Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha, The Shorter Exposition of Action)
Understanding the immense merit and blessings of almsgiving to Buddhist monks, people sincerely prepared food offerings and offered them to Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh and venerable monks during the Vesak celebration at Ba Vang Pagoda on May 12, 2024.
Hopefully, all the good aspirations of everyone will be fulfilled thanks to this good deed. May the Buddha Dharma be long-lasting in the world so that all beings may find peace and happiness from it.
