Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh commenced his Dharma propagation in South Korea

On October 22, 2023, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh had the first preaching session at Heungryunsa Temple, the city of Incheon which marked the opening of his Dharma propagation in South Korea. His Dharma talk was interpreted into Korean and attracted a large number of Vietnamese and Korean people, including its officials and local residents.

Especially, welcoming Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh and the delegates of Ba Vang Pagoda to Heungryunsa Temple for Dharma preaching, there were Most Venerable Jeong Beom-ryun - the abbot of Heungryunsa temple, Mayor of Incheon City - Mr. Yoo Jeong-bok, and the congressional delegate of Incheon city - Mr. Jeong Il-young. Thay's Dharma lessons at Heungryunsa temple as attended by various groups of people, including lay Buddhists, people, leaders of Incheon city, and employees at various companies such as Incheon Songmo International Hospital franchise, KOJ Health Tourism company, Heunuri Pharmacy company, Incheon City Home company, Incheon tourism company, Vinseoul Vietnam - South Korea Tourism and Trade company, etc

Also on Thay's arrival at Heungryunsa Temple, Most Venerable Jeong Beob Ruyn - the abbot joined, led Thay and the Vietnamese Buddhists around the monastery.

For Ba Vang Pagoda's expatriate Buddhists who are currently living and working in “the land of Kimchi”, this is a particularly rare opportunity.

At Heungryunsa Temple, the first preaching destination in this South Korean Dharma propagation journey, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh and the delegation were led by the abbot to visit some places in the pagoda.

As a token of appreciation, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh presented Abbot Jeong Beob Ryun a statue of Buddhist King Tran Nhan Tong, the founder of the Truc Lam Zen sect of Vietnam (in the 13th century).
