On June 5, 2025, H.E. Mr. W.A.U. Poshitha Perera – Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Vietnam, and Mrs. Kethma Rajapaksha Yapa – Minister Counsellor of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Vietnam, paid a visit to Ba Vang Pagoda, offering homage to the Buddha, praying for peace, and planting a commemorative tree within the Pagoda grounds.
Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh, the abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda, along with resident monks, warmly received the delegation and had a cordial exchange, highlighting the close spiritual ties between Vietnamese and Sri Lankan Buddhism in particular, as well as the overall friendship between the two nations. Besides, Thay also shared some prominent Buddhist works and spiritual practices of the monastics and lay community of the Pagoda over the years.
Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh, together with resident monks, had a cordial conversation with the distinguished delegation in the Pagodas guest room

Following the delegations request and under Thays guidance, the monks conducted a short peace-blessing ceremony for the guests at the Main Hall of the Pagoda
The Ambassador and Minister Counsellor reverently joined hands, following the monks chanting
After the ceremony, the delegation was introduced to the Main Hall of Ba Vang Pagoda

The delegation took a commemorative photo with the Sangha in front of the Main Hall
The delegation also briefly visited the first floor of the Great Lecture Hall, where a sacred statue of the Buddha entering Nirvana is enshrined

On the second floor of the Great Lecture Hall, the delegation expressed their admiration for its huge and exquisite architecture, which originated from Thay Thich Truc Thai Minhs profound aspiration to serve both the Vietnamese and international Buddhist communities

The delegation joyfully took a commemorative photo with the resident Sangha on the Second Floor of the Great Lecture Hall
After a short peace-praying ceremony conducted by the resident monks and a tour around the campus, the Ambassador and Minister Counsellor, solemnly with the abbot, planted a commemorative Bodhi tree in the Meditation Garden.

In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Poshitha Perera affirmed the good ties between Sri Lanka and Vietnam, particularly in Buddhist relations. He also extended his heartfelt thanks to Ba Vang Pagoda for its warm hospitality and spoke highly of the Pagoda's commitments towards practicing the Buddha Dhamma and helping the communities, including the youth, learn about Buddhism:
“In a very short period, Ba Vang Pagoda was constructed and brought to this stage, it's really a miracle. As Buddhists, we believe that the more important thing is the spiritual enhancement of mankind, the citizens, and Ba Vang Pagoda is doing a great job… We're really touched because the monks are disciplining themselves, teaching themselves, and educating themselves. Also, the interaction with the community as well as the outside world is really remarkable.”
On behalf of Ba Vang Pagoda, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh presented a gift to the distinguished Sri Lankan delegation
