In deepest gratitude to the Patriarch: Ba Vang Pagoda celebrates the 767th birth anniversary of Buddhist King Tran Nhan Tong
Vietnam's history is a golden tapestry woven by excellent kings and notably the Buddhist King Tran Nhan Tong.
He was a King who practiced Buddhism, ruling the nation with virtue, caring deeply for his people, and repelling foreign invaders. At the height of his worldly power, the King abdicated the throne to his son, withdrew to Yen Tu mountain to become a Buddhist monk, and taught the Dharma. Eventually, he founded the Truc Lam Zen School, which has been preserved and passed down through generations of Vietnamese Buddhism.
Inheriting timeless spiritual values of Buddhism, Vietnamese Buddhist devotees engrave the Patriarch's boundless merits in their hearts. To commemorate the 767th anniversary of his sacred birth, under the guidance of Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh, Ba Vang Pagoda solemnly held an Offering ceremony to the great Patriarch as a token of profound gratitude. The assembly then vowed to follow his shining example, diligently studying and practicing the Buddha Dharma, and continuing the noble vows of the Patriarch, contributing to the preservation and spreading of the Buddha Dharma everywhere for the benefit of all sentient beings.
