Monks and Nuns of Ba Vang Pagoda going on alms round at "Chrysanthemum Festival 2020 - Reach out to our beloved Central Vietnam"
With the vow to build a pure Sangha oriented on the Sangha of the Buddha, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh has adopted and taught his ordained disciples the practice of daily alms round - one of the thirteen noble austerities (Dhutanga). At the “Chrysanthemum Festival 2020 - Reach out to our beloved Central Vietnam”, Monks and Nuns of Ba Vang Pagoda went on alms round mindfully receiving offerings from festival attendees. Through this practice, great blessings would come to every almsgiver.
At the festival, Buddhists and tourists respectfully offered various folk dishes to the Sangha. They were not just alms food but also symbols of the beauty and the variety of Vietnamese food culture.
