We have never been to Ba Vang Pagoda. But we have heard that this is an important pagoda to Vietnamese people and one of the largest pagodas in Northern Vietnam. I hope after the visit, the Buddhist relationship between Vietnam and Russia will be promoted.” - Ambassador H.E. Konstantin V. VNUKOV said. On February 01, 2020, in the joyful atmosphere of the first days of the Lunar New Year, a delegation led by Ambassador H.E. Mr. Konstantin V. VNUKOV - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam along with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Russian Federation visited Ba Vang Pagoda. Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh - the Abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda expressed His delight and appreciation with the Ambassador and the delegations visit. “I love the Russian so much! They are very honest. People say that the Russian language is for friends. So your visit today is our honor.” - Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh shared. Thay together with the delegation offered incense to the Three Jewels in the Main Hall to pray for health, peace as well as the evolution of Vietnam and Russias relation. On this occasion, Thay also presented the Russian Ambassador with a Buddha statue with best wishes.

Touring around the Pagoda

When guiding the delegation around Ba Vang Pagoda, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh introduced the delegation to Buddhism and the Pagoda. At the Martyrs Shrine, Thay and the delegation offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese Generals and war heroes and martyrs.

  Then, the delegation visited the Spiritual Spring Garden as well as the statue of the Buddha at birth. Especially, to mark the visit, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh together with Mr. Konstantin V. VNUKOV and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son planted a tree within the campus of the Pagoda.

Getting the warm welcome from Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh, Monks, Nuns and Buddhists at Ba Vang Pagoda, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Mr. Konstantin V. VNUKOV sent many thanks and best wishes to Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh as well as Monks, Nuns and the Buddhist community here, “We are very happy to be here today. I would like to thank you, Thay, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son. We are very glad for your welcome. I wish you good health, full of luck and happiness. I hope that Ba Vang Pagoda will be more developed and that more and more people will come to the Pagoda.” Accompanied with the wishes, he promised to come back to Ba Vang Pagoda in the future as well.

  The visit ended in a friendly and happy atmosphere. Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh, on behalf of Monks, Nuns and the community of Ba Vang Pagoda, expressed his appreciation for the Ambassadors visit and hoped to welcome the Ambassador along with his delegation to the Pagoda again soon.
