Exploring the Six Realms of Rebirth and the journey to the Buddha's land.
The six realms of suffering endlessly turn
Seek refuge in Buddha's teachings to escape samsara's churn
The “Samsara Cave” is a unique space that simulates the six realms of reincarnation in Buddhism, including: the heavenly realm, the realm of Asuras (gods), the human realm, the animal realm, the hungry ghost realm, and the hell realm. With his omniscient wisdom, the Buddha revealed that death is not the end for humans; instead, they are reborn into one of these six realms.
With vivid paintings and realistic sound effects, visitors embark on a “journey” through each realm, experiencing the characteristics of each cycle of rebirth. Each detail in this space evokes deep contemplation: How to escape from that endless cycle?
The highlight of this journey is a space simulating the "Buddha's land" - the final destination. Here, the image of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva appears with compassion and perfect wisdom, symbolizing enlightenment and unconditional love.
In addition, the “Samsara Cave” also depicts the iconic image of Tang Sanzang and his three disciples, on their journey to the Buddha's land, seeking the Buddha's precious teachings to propagate and save sentient beings. Only the Buddha's teachings can help sentient beings escape from all suffering and attain ultimate happiness.
Each character on this journey represents different states of the human mind:
- Tang Sanzang (the monk): Represents love, compassion, and the aspiration to attain Buddhahood;
- Sun Wukong (the monkey): Symbolizes wisdom, always directed toward the Buddha;
- Zhu Bajie (the pigsy): Embodies the mind driven by cravings and desires;
- Sha Wujing (the sandy): Represents an indifferent mind, undecided and hesitant.
- The horse: symbolizes the external support that one must have while practicing the Buddha's teachings.
Through this, we gain a deeper understanding of our own mind's evolution, learning lessons about determination, steering our mind toward good values, perfection, and overcoming suffering.
