Buddhism flourishes in Vietnam: Over 800 monks and nuns walk for alms in harmony, preserving the noble tradition of all Buddhas
Alms round is the tradition of all Buddhas which Shakyamuni Buddha ever said that he must inherit.
Nowadays, monks and nuns - the Buddha's disciples, must preserve and practice that noble tradition to benefit themselves and the majority.
During the commemoration ceremony of Patriarch Minh Dang Quang (November 9, 2023) - the founder of the Vietnamese Mendicant Buddhist Sect, more than 800 monks and nuns from various Buddhist sects across the country, including Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh and the monks of Ba Vang Pagoda, gathered at Minh Dang Quang Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Herein, they went on alms round to commemorate the grace of the Patriarch and to spread this noble tradition to everyone.
