Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh welcomes the Japan - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance delegation in their visit to Dien Phuc Pagoda

As part of the activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations in 2023, the delegation of the Japan - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance, led by Mr. Nikai Toshihiro, Chairman of the Alliance, visited Vietnam. After meetings with high-ranking leaders of Vietnam, the delegation visited and worked in Thanh Hoa province. Here, the delegation visited Dien Phuc Pagoda in Quang Thai commune, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province, where Ven. Thich Truc Thai Minh serves concurrently as its abbot.

Accompanying Chairman Nikai Toshihiro were Mr. Hayashi Motoo, Secretary-General of the Japan - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance; Mr. Tsutomu Takebe, Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance; and Ms. Inada Tomomi, former Japanese Minister of Defense.

Welcoming the delegation, along with Ven. Thich Truc Thai Minh were Mr. To Huy Rua, President of the Vietnam - Japan Parliamentary Friendship Alliance; Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nga, Chairwoman of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; and Mr. Do Trong Hung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Thanh Hoa province.

At the reception, the delegation paid their respects at the pagoda before visiting and having a conversation with Ven. Thich Truc Thai Minh. During the meeting, Ven. Thich Truc Thai Minh introduced the activities of Dien Phuc Pagoda and his activities during his recent Dharma trip to Japan. The two sides had an open, friendly, and amicable conversation. At the end of the conversation, Ven. Thich Truc Thai Minh presented souvenirs to the delegation.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Nikai Toshihiro expressed his delight and sincere thanks for the warm welcome from the monks and Buddhists at the pagoda.

The delegation's visit ended successfully, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of the friends from the land of the rising sun.
