"When our body enters the state of deep meditation, it becomes very special, it doesn’t consume much energy. Even your breath seems almost non-existent but it doesn’t mean that our body is dead. That is a special thing in the state of meditation. This is a truth that many zen monks have experienced. It may sound impossible and strange to many people but we — Buddhist practitioners — do believe this is the truth. I myself do sitting meditation for six to seven hours, I feel like time flies very quickly. This requires your practice and gradually your ability will increase."
