Light offerings on the birth anniversary of the Buddha
In the Vesak message BE 2568 by the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, it is stated that:
Vesak is a time to reflect on the noble life of Gautama Buddha, his selfless and compassionate teachings filled with wisdom and love for all kinds. This special event serves not only as a source of spiritual solace but also offers practical solutions to help transform peoples suffering and create a peaceful environment for all beings.
Recently in the celebration of Vesak, Ba Vang Pagoda successfully organized a light offering ceremony to pay homage to the Buddha. The event witnessed the participation of many venerable monks and nuns, as well as people from far and wide. It involved performances, namely group dancing, light offerings, and a fireworks display.
Let us take a look at the impressive moments of this event!

The Lotus Sutra recorded: "Udumbara is a sacred flower that only blooms once every three thousand years. Each time it blooms, a Buddha is born." It is also taught in the Dhammapada that: “It is hard to be born as human. It is hard to live a long life. It is hard to hear the true Dharma. It is hard for a Buddha to be born. Rarely does a Buddha appear, yet, this earth has welcomed His peaceful footsteps from the Tushita heaven to this world. He is "a unique being, an extraordinary", wonderful, perfect, supreme, brilliant one.
