Beyond worldly desires: The merits of the Sangha
The merits of Buddhist monks are immense. They must renounce many things, particularly the five sensual desires (*), to walk the holy path to ultimate enlightenment. This path, while fraught with challenges and hardship, is a glorious one by which the Buddha and his holy disciples previously walked.
