A birthday present to Thay from Bodhgaya
“I first met Thay in 2015 at Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhgaya. I know March 3 is his birthday, and here's the robe that I brought from Bodhgaya to offer to him,” shared Suhail from Bodhgaya, India.
Myriads of people came to Ba Vang Pagoda on March 4, 2023, to make offerings to Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh (the abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda) on the occasion of his 56th birthday, and among the crowd was a special visitor: Suhail Alam from India. Hopefully, more people will form an auspicious connection with Thay and the Dharma, becoming international Dharma friends with the Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda.
Making offerings to one worthy of reverence will yield immense blessings for innumerable lifetimes ahead. Thus, even if a person has to cross the oceans to have such an opportunity, it is still worthwhile.
Alam knew that March 3 was the birthday of Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh. Auspiciously, his trip to Vietnam coincided with this special occasion, thus he took the chance to offer this special gift to Thay.
Alam and his wife eagerly waited for Thay to arrive, so they could offer the robe.
